General
yawetag /yô-ĕ-tăg/ (you can call me "yaw" in chat) joined Epicmafia on December 1, 2008. Despite constant (and sometimes brutal) accusations of his being a n00b, he's continued on. Now, he's confident enough to lead a town to victory, even though he fails more often than not.
In my statistics, I am missing less than ten games. These were some of the first games I played and did not keep track of. I could go through the logs to figure them out, but it's too much work. Right now, my stats are skewed because of it, but after 500 games, it will all work out.
I will not leave a game until it's completed, even if it goes unranked. I might have some fun in the unranked games, but I will still play until a side wins. I DO NOT choose people based on whether I like them or not. Many times, if a random choice is all I have, I will go to random.org and have it choose for me. By doing that, it's not my fault.
I will kick inactive players, but not immediately. There is a caveat to that, however. If you're outed as Mafia, but you're refusing to vote, I will kick immediately unless you are ACTIVELY talking. Many times, you're whispering to a fellow member on inside information (your stalker report, for example). To me, you should have done it before the timer went down. Notice I said "outed" as Mafia. This doesn't include a RL that happened to target you or a PR having several claims to the same role and choosing you.
My wife, Elayne plays as well. We only have one computer in the house, so we can only play at the same time when we're away from each other. This happens at least once a week, so it is possible. I do not treat her any differently than I treat other players. She's as innocent (and as scummy!) as everyone else. Also, I will not talk to her outside of the game if we're in the same game, as I feel it can compromise the game, whether we're on the same side or not.
About yawetag
yawetag is "gateway" written backwards. Many people where I live think it's because of the Gateway Arch, but in reality, I started using the name in 1996. When I had to come up with a handle for a local BBS, I looked at my (new) Gateway 2000 computer and reversed Gateway. Small fact: After registering yawetag.net many years ago, I took gateway.net's front page and reversed it. It remained that way for months until I put real content on it.
I am 28-years-old. I live in a suburb north of St. Louis, Missouri. I work in Surveillance at a casino. When I'm not working or playing Mafia, I enjoy Geocaching and playing classic RPGs that require mapping on graph paper (Bard's Tale, especially). I have been married since March, 2002, and have one son, Sage, who was born in March, 2007.
