Summary
Gives a suit each night to another player. When that player dies, his/her role will be revealed to whatever the suit is. Sided with the Mafia.
The Tailor was originally a town sided role, but was switched to mafia when it was proven to be too anti-town.
Abilities
- The tailor gives a suit to one player each night.
- The person who receives the suit will get a message the next day informing them that they have received a suit. It will not tell them the role of the suit.
- If that player dies, it will be revealed as whatever the suit is instead of their actual role.
Strategies and Tactics
- Since the Tailor knows all of the roles at the first night meeting, be sure to out all the roles in the meeting to your fellow mafia members.
- Avoid giving suits to town members unless you plan on shooting them as part of the same action. They can (and usually should) immediately inform the town that they have received a suit.
- If you give a suit to the same player the mafia kills, the player in the graveyard will appear to be the role of the suit given. You can use this to conceal the role of players you kill at night.
- If the mafia also has a stalker or an actress, you can have that mafia learn the role of that player before or during the kill, then impersonate that role, just like a janitor.
- If the mafia also has a disguiser, you can conceal the role of the player you are disguising. You can use this to disguise as a PR without it being too obvious.
- Alternatively, a disguiser can CC any role and then (apparently) have that role die at night, as if the disguiser was shot. Just have a tailor give the person you are disguising as the suit for the role you claimed. This might lead to the real CC getting lynched.
- Tailor suits can be used to fool a detective or an oracle. If you think a fellow mafia is likely to be investigated by a detective or revealed by an oracle, give them a suit with a town role. You can also give suits to the town to make them appear guilty, but you still have the problem with the message they receive.
- However, tailor suits do not fool the mortician.
- If there isn't a detective or oracle in the game, the only way tailor suits will have an impact on the game is if the players with the suits are sent to the graveyard. Give out suits to players you suspect or know will be shot or lynched soon. If choosing between two mafia partners to give a suit to, it's best to choose the one who is more likely to be lynched.
- Players in miller suits still appear normally on cop reports and appear to be miller when lynched (instead of appearing to be Mafia when lynched, as millers normally do). Giving out a miller suit isn't a good idea unless you expect the player to be shot instead of lynched.
Bugs
- A bug with tailor allows cop to detect a guise. Kanashimi
- More information would be nice. As, is, this just sounds like normal behavior for cop and disguiser.--Teksura 15:49, 14 February 2011 (UTC)
- Basicically, if you investigate someone that had a vest and were guised, you'll see the actual Disguiser name on the report, not the guised.

- Tailor automatically knows the setup in a multisetup
- 2 popup windows appear when you do the tailor action.
- If a tailor gives a suit to a paranoid, naive, or insane cop, they are revealed as "player1, the paranoid/naive/insane, has died a bloody death."
- Apparently Detective sees through Tailor suits. Needs to be fixed.
