Abilities
Spy can send anonymous and private messages to any role with no chance of being overheard.
Strategies and Tactics
- Send messages to the Fool, Killer, Warlock, or anyone else that can joint win with the mafia. Convince them to go along with mafia plans in exchange for joint win later.
- Don't send too many messages. Lurkers are often suspected as mafia and undergo additional village scrutiny. Make sure to keep up with the village's daily conversation, even at the detriment of your conversations with third-party characters.
- Can "clear" one of the mafia by sending out a group (preferably one with two or three uncleared people in it) a message, and telling the mafia the phrase & giving a second phrase to look for to indicate that the message was sent.
- Annoy the cult with messages until they start to reveal themselves, or try to get them to cult the mafia. (WARNING!!! DO NOT MAKE TO MISTAKE OF SPAMMING THE PLAYER!!!)
- Could claim to be the agent, but you cannot kill the agent at night unless you want to be lynched.
History
- Originally the Spy was able to see every whisper in the game. When the Spy was created, all setups were still required to have whispers in them.
Bugs
- Sees only the roles alive, so knows sanity of living cops, can tell who has died in no-reveal games, and knows which setup is present in multiple setup games
