Fakeclaim
Fakeclaiming is an action performed by mafias and third-party roles in which they claim town-sided roles so as not to be lynched or to get other players lynched. Fakeclaims can also be done by town for various reasons, such as wanting to get night killed as a bomb, though it is uncommon.
Fakeclaim can also be a vital strategy for town. As a town member, you do not want to be lynched unless your lynching makes it autowin for town. In any other case, doing so may help your chances of winning. If you are about to be lynched, fakeclaiming can potentially change town's view about you or conflict with mafia reads. By doing so, you want to make sure you do not out other power roles, but you can easily gain extremely useful reactions from doing so. However, choose certain occasions to use it, since some town members will always think you are being antitown and lynch you. However, it is always better to lynch another town than being lynched yourself
