Account Creation
Due to spambots, account creation is now restricted, and must be requested on the EM forums, or by sending a PM to an active wiki mod.
Due to certain cases of vandalism, all wiki accounts must use the same name as your EM account. Preferably your main account.

The Golden Rule
Play reasonably nicely.
That about covers it, I think.
The general idea here is to have fun and generate useful documentation for the site. Don't do things that would make the mythical reasonable person scream and run from the room, don't knock over the other person's sand castle, you know the drill.
What this wiki is for
This wiki primarily exists as a collective effort of the Epic Mafia community to maintain documentation regarding the mechanics of the Epic Mafia game. By extension of that, pages for Families are also encouraged as sub-pages of the Family page.
Anyone with an Epic Mafia account is allowed to create a wiki account. Users are asked to make sure their wiki account shares the same name as their main user account on the Epic Mafia site. This serves as a means of identifying and banning spambots quickly. Once a user has created an account, they are allowed to create a userpage if they desire. The page should be prefaced with User: and be followed by your name (such as User:GaryOak). This also gives you a user talk page which other users can use to leave messages for you (such as User talk:GaryOak. Furthermore, you are allowed to create sub-pages of your userpage. This can contain anything you like: Stories, logs, funny ideas, and community commentary have all been created under userpages.
Users are encouraged to work together to ensure the accuracy of articles and improve them whenever possible. Creating new pages that may be useful is also encouraged. As a general rule of thumb, if you can make something here better, please do!
What this wiki is NOT for
The mainspace of this wiki is absolutely not for making a point of how much you don't like someone. This wiki is not for drama. Take it somewhere else. If a page is created for the purpose of calling someone a prick, the page creator may be banned. It is that simple. This also applies to vandalizing the userpage of other users. It all comes down to one simple question: Is this a bad faith edit?
Vandalism
Do not do it. For any reason. Vandalism is a bannable offense. Vandalism can be, but is not limited to:
- Removing large amounts of useful content from a page.
- Inserting false information into a page.
- Messing with someone else's Userpage in a way that is deemed negative.
- Anything that makes the wiki less useful or accurate than it was before you made the edit.
Spam
Spam is not tolerated on the wiki. Minor cases of spam will be met with a minimum of a 2 week ban from the wiki, and major cases will get you banned permanently from the wiki right away.
How to deal with disputes
If there is a disagreement on how a page should be, please do not engage in an edit war. It is hardly productive to simply spend all day reverting edits back and forth, and just a little bit childish. Take it to the talk page and discuss it like rational people. If you can't settle it between yourselves, ask a sysop to step in and settle the disagreement.
If you are being harassed by another user (for example, if they move your userpage to a page with an unflattering name), just quietly revert the page and inform a sysop as soon as possible.
I think you'll find that there is pretty much nothing going on here worth getting worked up about. It is not possible for someone to cause permament damage to anything here - Pages can be reverted, pages can be moved, pages can be deleted. Hell, deleted pages can even be restored.
