Strategies and Tactics

Playing as Enforcer

  • If there are cultists in the game, Enforce your partners to prevent the cult from converting them.
  • If there are masons in the game, Enforce villagers to prevent the masons from spreading.
  • Alternatively, you can Enforce your mafia partner particularly if the masons announce they are targeting them. The masons won't die, which can make them falsely believe they masoned your mafia partner. If there's only two masons when they claim and announce the person they will mason the next night, you can actually kill off one mason that night and then the other the next night, before the last mason can announce that your mafia partner was enforced. At the very minimum this buys your partner an extra day before the masons realize he isn't in the meeting, at best this can fool the town into believing your partner actually was masoned, thus letting them lead.
  • It's questionable if this gambit is worth pulling off, rather than just letting the masons die off at the expense of your partner.
  • If there is a mimic in the game, and you're certain of who they are, Enforce them the night after all protective roles are dead. You can prevent them from stealing the investigative role's ability while rendering the investigator useless, if they mimicked the investigator in anticipation of their demise.
  • if there is an amnesiac in the game, Enforcing them can prevent them from taking a town role, much to their annoyance.

Notes

  • If Shrink and Enforcer target the Killer the same night, both conversions are neutralized.

Bugs

  • Enforcer is unable to cure Cthulhu madness.
    • Possibly intended? The Enforcer stops a role from CONVERTING. Madness isn't a conversion.
      • The argument is that because Shrink can cure Madness, therefore the mafia version should as well. While a little bit out of flavor, I suppose they could beat it out of them. It really comes down to what the role is intended to do. The fact that this follows a different mechanic than the Shrink suggests to me that it is likely intended.
